Case 1: Physical Exam

VITAL SIGNS

BP:  108/ 60, HR: 103, RR; 20, O2 sat 100%, weight: 70 kg (154lb) , Height: 6’1” , BMI: 20.3


EXAM

General Appearance: In no acute distress, cachectic  with bitemporal wasting


 HEENT: Normal conjunctiva, no scleral icterus, dry mucous membranes, clear oropharynx

Lymph: No lymphadenopathy

Cardiovascular: No JVD, regular rhythm, no rubs/murmurs/gallops

Respiratory: decreased breath sounds at the right lung base

Abdominal: soft non tender non distended, scaphoid abdomen, normal bowel sounds, no organomegaly

Extremities: warm and well perfused extremities, 1+ bilateral pitting edema to shins bilaterally, decreased calf muscle mass

Neurologic: Alert, Oriented x3, no focal deficits
